As I was noodling around this morning waiting for TY to rally for breakfast, I happened upon Dudley Redhead, a blogger in Australia: 

'Not sure if you've just dropped in, or if you've been popping in now and then. Recently I was asked "does your blog help your creativity?" "Nuh" I replied. All that documenting, filing, scanning and posting. Are you nuts? I thought. So why do it? Well it's a bit like beating a drum or puffing out smoke signals isn't it? It helps you find your tribe.  I'm out and about or creating other stuff - and yes this blog documents that. And I guess if that doesn't appeal - you'll find your own tribe..."

And that completely sums up what on earth I too am blogging for.  I have assembled a wonderful tribe of my own- a community of friends and mentors and accolades of different backgrounds and ages and talents.  All of you inspire me and here's where I get all choked up-  thanks!

Rooflines

Lovely day today for a drive around the Isle of Orleans.  Beautiful farmland and vineyards.  We bought some local cheese and have some dessert wines packed to bring home.  We probably would have bought more but it was a little too early for much tasting!  

We stopped for a lovely lunch on the patio of an ancient stone house where the waterfall came roaring right by our table and rolled under a wee bridge we had to cross from the parking lot.  Tomorrow we're going on a tasting tour back here in the city so perhaps if TY turns his back long enough I will get a years supply of maple candy to bring home to nibble at... like a rat!

 Virginia-based artist Eric Standley (previously) brings a whole new meaning to the term “cutting edge” with his methodical stained glass windows created entirely from laser-cut paper. Standley stacks well over 100 sheets for many of his pieces which involve months of planning, drawing, and assembly. The artist says his inspiration comes from the geometry found in Gothic and Islamic architectural ornamentation which he somewhat jokingly calls “folk math.”

I don't know if I would let this color my life forevermore... but I just can't get my head around Jesus picking a potato to live in.
