Yesterday Beverly the North came by the studio and it was great to see her again. This year it seems I am surrounding myself with people with Positive Energy and Beverly is sure one of them. It's a nice counterpoint to my cynicism and the dark cloud shroud I wrap myself up in. We hope to start up our little visits to each other to keep a very informal critique going. I was so embarrassed to have to ask her but I got up enough nerve finally: I cannot ever remember how to get my damn sewing machine to hide itself under the table! Talk about a slow-study! She showed me once last year after I had spent a day lying on my back under the table with screw drivers and pliers trying to figure it out! The year before that I had visited the shop where I bought it and she also showed me. You do it with one friggin' finger, just give it a slight push down and it slides right into place. But NOOooOOoooo- it's apparently too much for my poor brain to absorb that something can be EASY! So BEverly extended her index finger and gave it a slight nudge and down it went. And it's staying there until I can't remember how to get it back up again should I ever decide to sew! And that's getting unlikely.

All in all it was also a successful day in the wax pot. I finished three more pieces and I'm sticking them on my design wall as I complete them- here it is so far:
Sorry it's off kilter, but I stuck them up at the top of the 8' panel and when I took the picture I was ay doen below it. I ran out of boards or I could have continued a bit further, but I do have a few if the images ready to go when I get some more. I'll hit the store today, but have my doubts about whether they have restocked since I wiped out the supply a few days ago. I have to take back the tackle box that was broken too.

Also, TA-DAH! I finally glued the last thing into the Sketchbook Project book and it's ready to hit the post office later today too. This is a big one off my brain, glad to get it moved out. If I ever do it again, I will know what not to do- mainly any experimentations. Everything I tried was a disaster this time and it's full of splotches and blobs. Oh well. It's done now and out of my life.

And I am off to make a new mess today!~ Yeaaaaaa!

Gee, I don't read your blog for a day or two, and your whole world explodes! I hope Ty is doing OK, and you are getting some rest, as well as getting all things done. If it makes you feel better, you're ahead of me on the sketchbook project. Why, oh why do I sign up for these things? ???
