Still No Real Pictures

Got back late last night after a ride back that was so foggy we were delayed taking off. In fact the only taking off I wanted was getting off the plane when I opened the shade and discovered I couldn't see the wing which was right under me! But Le Capitaine and his right hand man, 'Bob', managed just fine finding a teensy slit in the clouds that got us here over the water route... not that I felt any safer over water than land.

So it's back to routine. Picked up the dog at the kennel and all she is doing is racing around looking for TY and farting from the kennel food. This too will pass. I left my camera with TY since he's taking Hazel to the Big Apple Circus in Boston today- here is a paragraph from their main page:

he WWW
orld’s Greatest Circus artists swing into action in the spotlight under our intimate Big Top, where no seat is more than 50 feet from the ring! Invited to the dance: an awesome troupe of monocyclists and lasso twirlers from China! A mind–bending group of Mongolian contortionists! A kinetic collection of Kenyan athletes who shimmy up a pole as though gravity were a joke! A herd of hoofers — twelve miniature horses in an equine chorus line! And an Ethiopian juggler with a lively up–tempo act that’s hard to beat! Your Host is our charming and charismatic Ringmaster Kevin Venardos, aided with antic abandon by star clowns Rob Torres and of course, our leggy, lovable laugh–riot Grandma! With live music by the Big Apple Circus Band, there’ll be cavorting in the aisles — and even you and your family will be dancing in your seats!

Well 'of course', this leggy (?) lovable (!) laugh-riot (PULL THIS...) grandma won't be along so they hired someone in a costume to play me. Hope TY gets some pictures of 'me' too. And oh yeah, there is supposed to be a goat that rides a horse. Sorta like this I would guess.

This doesn't seem to be such a weird thing on google images- there are all sorts of things riding horses, some that I think are a bit too freaky to watch for obvious reasons:

Imagine the site of 'soomething' going terribly wrong here. Not something you would want a 3 year old to witness, let alone a freaky leggy laugh-riot grandma. How in bloody hell did they get the horse to put up with this, or perhaps this was the *only* time the lion had to do it and along with the trick, this was also his reward...

I'm not so convinced this is an actual horse, and I am also convinced the goat wasn't doing this willingly. it loks to me like this may be the cook truck on some sort of rural (I use the term loosly) back-woods trip. Easier to have the goat along in this form than hauling it in it's 'other, soon to be dinner' form in the blazing sun.
And finally a goat that aimed for the horse but hit the sheep instead. I don't think the sheep would stand for this for long but perhaps the little goaty cloven hooves are entangled in the wool and he is simply tethered there until rescue.

The mind boggles. Now I must go replenish the cupboards and make all as it should be refrigerator-wise. Also need to buy some no-fart dog food. Soonest. It's good to be back, hope I can get to the studio today.
