Committing Machinery Rhino
Sleeves are now done and I am working on the front binding- have screwed up badly on the 'corded tuck' but there's no going back.

Been knitting my li'l fingers to the bone on thie Promenade. Yesterday I staerted the entreloc and cannot say I am thrilled with this process. At least I am changing colors a lot, but I ended up with one more block that the patern said I would, how? I dunno...
I have also been cleaning out all the crap in my studio and have a huge bag ready to take to QC Wed. night- have to make a big "FREE FABRIC" sign for it and it will vanish in 20 seconds. Vultures!
The bulliten board sure looked nikkid with all the crap off of it- I did put up a few things but not three layers like I took down.
Also, the other 'thing' is my mom's fur jacket- I already cut out the lining and opened up the collar but you can't make an XS hjacket into an XL jacket very easily unless you shoot a few more taupe minks so I think I am gathering all the dusty crumby shedding pieces and TOSSING IT. Yup, just like that. She enjoyed that jacket so, but it really didn't look good on her because the color was wrong. And it doesn't look good on me either since I can't get my arms into the sleeves... So out it goes. It's on the floor now and Molly seems to be enjoying lying on it- Geneva would be having a fit.
Also, spent yesterday all morning getting 17 tablecloths up on eBay- Had to reinvent the wheel a few times, but in the process I get more space on my website so now can upgrade and move things around there. Sure would love to see those tablecloths go.

Campaign Communicant Veil
Yesterday was Mothers Day so all I did, creative-wise, was knit a few more rows. Kids took me to the Peabody Essex Museum
where they had brunch scheduled. The service was so slow- restaurant backed up for a couple of hours so 'brunch' was served to us at 4 PM. Because we had to keep checking back every 10 minutes to see if we had a table yet, we couldn't stray very far into the museum and didn't see the Chinese house! Dammit. I will get back!
On Saturday I worked the QC show but didn't realize I was supposed to take something to demonstrate so for 2 hours I walked around with a sandwich board trying to brow beat folks into asking me quilterly questions. I wasn't terribly successful but did my bit. I was also on the gate for 2 hours and sitting with Ruth and Carol- idle conversation brought up the fact that all THREE of us, randomly selected, have kids who are art directors! I think that is quite extrordinary.

TWO, count 'em, TWO new collages

Top one is called Attack Rabbits and it is composed of old redwork dresser scarves, some toiles, and a few scanned and printed -to-muslin images when I ran out of the real thing. The canvas is painted with metallic paint.
The bottom one is a reaction to my upcoming annual glaucoma test, where hopefully I will again find out I am not yet "it". Here I used a redwork childrens image of tag, many photos of mice printed on muslin with blindfolds or glasses glued to ther faces, and painted blind sticks made from shish-kebob skewers. This is the end of my anaglypta wallpaper borders too.
And now I am out of redwork AND canvas so I must fine something else to do!

Making Some Progress

Looks like the muse has taken a bite of my ass again- really feels good. Today I finished up two collages but now must take a breather until I get more redwork to desicrate or a few new canvasses. Also got a few more stripes done on the Promenade sweater- here is a picture of what it will almost look like (except I re-engineered the cut...)

Pompous Taos Maria

Twisted Sister kimono sweater (Promenade)

Koigu Toreador jacket

Noro Vest
Really out of the loop l;ately, too busy sitting on my ass in FL, then in the car! Bu7t now I am home and have been in the studio every available second. First of all, I finished the vest in the 3 day ride back. Decided I like working in units so I started the Koigu jacket as soon as I could get my fingers into the bag. It hasn't progressed very far because I also started the Twisted Sisters alpaca sweater in the most unbelievably beautiful hand dyed colors. Blak Sheep ordered all the yarn for me since they don't box it as a kit any longer. So, here are the three pieces I'm talking about!
The ride back was OK, we landed in Savannah the first night and stayed in an antique mill building that's now a B&B, pet friendly (!) thouygh we left the Adorable Molly in the car as we toddled off to dinner. It was in the 30's there, a bit of a shock to the system after Florida. We left very early and headed for Washington but got in during the Friday drive-time traffic so detoured to Annapolis for the night. We only had to stop at three hotels before finding one that would take the dog too. Had the most unbelievably good meal at a restaurant on the harbor. Left again really REALLY early (like 4AM) and made it to our garage by 11:30. Very good to be home to my 'stuff'.
After a week of settling in we went to visit Lazarus in Buffalo- he has progressed back to the ass't lvg place, somewhat comperable to a salmon swimming upstream. he put on a brave manly act to impress Ralph- from now on I am taking him too so I don't have to listen to him WHINE. He now has it in his head to move to Florida. Yeah rioght- he can't handle a move to Boston but can go to FL? I don't think so, but ewill dutifully find info about ass't lvg places there that are dying for an old coot to join them. I have no idea how he thinks he will get there since he won't fly...
So---maybe the idea won't fly either? Lettuce Prey.
