I finished two collages that I made from the cut-up quilt of my mom's, see a closeup above of the stars and the full quilt below that. TY was right, it wasn't good kharma to sell it on eBay like the others.I'll get the pictures of the finished collages up tomorrow after I get them out of the camera. For now here is the quilt as it was B-4 it met my scissors. I have about 40 blocks left over so there may be another one in the near future. But before that, I am working on a blouse of some iridescent Indonesian ikat- I may as well DO something with it as leave it on the shelves. My resolution to not buy more supplies or fabric is tough, especially when I can't see the piles receeding.
I got dumped from teaching the Fuller class. After all my whining about getting the dates, finally they told me they wopuld 'try to fit us in' November 28th. Well, that will be hard since I will be in Florida by then. I was very disappointed, but one of thjese days I will get my class proposal done for them so maybe they will have a show with our quilts and classes! Should I hold my breath? Nah.
I finally managed to get to the Post Office and mail out my eBay orders for last week, a bit late. Hope the lady likes the tobacco quilt- what an icky thing!
Fourth of July Weekend, we are going to the beach on Sunday and my box o' veggies is ready. I roasted the peppers and eggplants and Vidalias, added some Portobellas and when I get there will throw on the olives and tiny mozzarella balls. I may add some vinegar or fresh lemon, we'll see. If they are lucky they will get crackers.
And I am taking my knitting and wearing my silver teeshirt.
