So, I sew. I sit and run small pieces of fabric through a machine and make them into bigger pieces of fabric. It's absolutely selfish, it's absolutely isolating, and it is the only reason I can carry on some days. TY does yoga, others write poetry or pull the covers up to their ears-- I sew and meditate.
Here is the whole series of quilts I have made this summer based on the quarter circle free-form cutting that Sylvia designed for the QC raffle quilt. I still have to bind the Spirals one, and sew the fourth one together, but this series can now go to the photographer and be put to bed.

DIRTY SNOWBALLS, finally quilted and ready for the binding. I have a few little things to patch up and then this too will be ready for the log roll (I keep all my quilts rolled up on each other and there are these 'logs' all over the studio and house...gathering dust bunnies.

BLACKMAILING PETER TO BANKRUPT PAUL 20" wide and 120" long- any ideas what to do with this sucker? I put the hanging sleeve on a short end but could certainly change it to the long side if someone has a very horizontal space!

CIRCLES FOR SYLVIA, since it's all her fault I am doing this. I really like this one and have hung it in our hallway.
There is another quilt I haven't unfolded since I pieced it called DUI so I guess I have to get at that next.
And finally, the last one, tentatively called CIRCLES 4, as yet not sewn together. After this one I will have just one block left and I have given myself permission to NOT do anything with it. And get on with something else.
