Prepare His Wait on Talent

Busy week so far after arriving home Sunday night. I was up Monday morning at 4 going through my carousel of slides for the lecture at Quinobequin Quilters last night. I wanted to make sure that the ones with writing on them weren't backwards. I got most of them OK. We picked up Molly from her incarceration and she seemed fine. I asked the guy at the kennel if she just huddled in a corner crying and he looked at me like I was nuts, said she 'played well with others' so that alleviated a bit of guilt over sending her to the slammer. She didn't get any tattoos while in, but without that opossible thumb it would be hard to do. Anyway she wouldn't leave my side for the whole day and is still a bit needy.

Then I had a dentist appointment for my good-bye cleaning and they found another filling had washed away so filled it then while they had me tied to the chair. Seems it's just patch-patch-patch anymore. I got the car loaded with the stuff for the lecture and headed for Wellesley. It was so much fun talking for this group since I was one of the founders back in about 1980. The group has grown- maybe 100 women there last night, a nice upgradre from when we were only 8. I had three women from the original group plus several I knew from around town, one former student, and other acquaintances so my mouth was a flappin' the whole time.

I talked too much about the slides, went over the alloted time and then didn't have much time to show the real live quilts I had brought, but still I think it went well. The program chair apparently spent the evening in the hospital getting her hand stitched up after a little kitchen accident. I told the group to tell her I never showed up.

Jet lag is better- today I was in bed until 4:30. The plan is I meet
Sylvia and Linda for lunch at Pedros so I can unload stuff I have for them before I leave. Then I have to get to the store to buy JUST ENOUGH food to feed 9 people Friday night without having one shred of leftovers.

Keeping my eyes on Wilma who has just become a category 5 and is headed for the west coast of Florida on Saturday, going across and hitting Jupiter soon thereafter. Lettuce prey...

And the other thing is that I cannot reach my dad- he isn't answering his phone at the assisted living place. Guess I had better put in a call to the main office and find out what's what. Lots to do, first the calls, then unpacking all that stuff from last night, then I am out of here.
