As I am writing this I have the weather channel going in the background: seems that Orchard Park got 16" of snow yesterday! That stupid lake is at it again with it's 'effects'. And that about knocks it- I was a bout to go looking for a cheap ticket to Buffalo in the next few weeks. Lazarus is back in the hospital, this time with peepee problems. I reached the doc today and he reminded me that he has an 88 year old bladder. Well, duh. Seems he has a kidney stone they can't get at to blast. I am NOT going to look for that cheap flight, screw it.
Lovely New Look, I wonder if I could have it ready for Thanksgiving. Something to look into I suppose.
I rejoined the Quilt Art list since none of my friends are in recent contact. I don't think I will stay there for long. First of all I have already been there. Second of all, I get angry when someone, for instance, asks for assistance with a Photoshop program rather than getting online help from the folks who know, and Third, the volume of mail is overwhelming causing me great distrress because I naturally HAVE to read it all! Plus, I am tired of hearing people whine about getting hotel reservations for next year in Houston. Getalife. Cranky Sandy, so sue me.
The Thanksgiving Marathon: Got the bacon crumbled and cooked today for the salad, got the cornbread cubed and bagged for the dressing, got the cranberry sauce made (and unfortunately a lot eaten!). This stuff can be done way ahead. At the beginning of the week I will go on the turkey quest. This is the first year I haven't orderwed one ahead so I hope I am not shut out. Oh well, we'll have cod instead. New Englanders love cod...
