Folder Fodder

Astrological Forecast for today:
"Things that have been lurking beneath surface will come to the forefront today." Oh oh. Sounds like Nessie will appear, or maybe Sasquash. Of course this couldn't be about ...me...

Well, today's Art Experience involved my toenails and getting another little felted pearl from Molly's brushing. I have three now from her, and a whole bagfull from my other yarn projects. They will be used separately, not to fear. I think i am abandoning the red shawl from all the various fibers- it just isn't coming out elegant enough. Perhaps I should get a carrying cord to make it more interesting, but as is, it's just boring. I was thinking I will never wear it as it has a hippy vibe that won't work for me, so I guess for the third time I will rip it to shreds and rewind the balls. No sense continuing to get something that I know won't work, right?

Tonight we are going to a fancy schmancy wine tasting/dinner pairing function with a guest chef. The menu highlights are the seafood sausage with a lobster claw, cherry basted quail
, and a cold smoked tenderloin. I am leaving out the other parts of the description because it's just too wordy, but the dessert course will be molten lava cakes and homemade ice cream (with the Mueller Syrah-Block 11, whatever that means. Then there's the cheeeeezzeeeee. Since I can handle about one (count 'em- ONE) glass of wine per evening, this wine tasting part is a waste on me- I have been figuring out how to pour it all into a thermos for 'later' but TY yelled at (oops, I mean 'corrected') me to NOT stop them from pouring and that he will 'help' me out. Bless his heart, I can be such a burden. Sounds like I can figure out who is the designated driver tonight. Oh, I forgot, we can walk.

So I gotta go put in the diamond (like) earrings and head on out soon.
