Hope that the geographic maps in the last post have kept you busy while I have been sitting on JetBlue all these days. I was in Buffalo seeing Lazarus, but I think that I may need to rename him soon because the rebirthing thing isn't happening any more. He is headed down the slippery slope- I sat there watching him sleep and finally getting so antsy that I left his room for a few hours but couldn't find a damn thing to DO in the little town after I drove around and took digitals of all my friends houses from high school. (These were 'road warrior' photos and I will eventually get them up here after I get my Real Work done today.)

But back to Lazarus- he is still dizzy, he now cannot get up out of his chair without assistance, and has become incontinent but refuses to acknowledge it. I am afraid that the Assisted Living place will get real tired of 'assisting' since this runs beyond their perameters, and I fear that nursing home is in our near future. He had a prostrate biopsy a week ago and that MAY be the cause but we'll see at his next appointment. Then, at 1 AM in the morning I get a call from the nurse there in the Mildew Motel (of which I am now a Priority Member, thankyew) to tell me he had fallen again, but seemed to be OK. Naturally I could not get back to sleep so watched cheesy movies until 7 when I fled to the airport.

Back to Boston, a trip which took me 8 hours so I could have more easily driven! JFK is not the terminal to spend time on purpose. I was corralled at the gate with a mother with two year old twin boys that she was expecting 'the village' to raise! These kids tore the place apart while she sat chatting and drinking coffee. Not to say she didn't need the coffee... the noise was deafening, and I didn't appreciate them crawling under the seats and unzipping my bag!

So last night I went through slides and categories and unrolled quilts and printed abrieviated resumes for the proposal being written. It's about Connections and Disconnections and I am finding out I am pretty much 'dis'. So, I am packing up Everything and taking it today for help as to what will work in the show. I really don't want to show the early work, it's tatty and shop-worn, not to mention not interesting any longer. So, I am hoping for more interest in the collages as my contribution.

And the other plan today is to get some food in here for the stay- I don't even have SPAM . So, back to work.
