Links and Tales of South Florida

Compfused.com - Stacked Can Art
More Stacked Can Art
You've probably been sent these can stack links before, but I just came across them again and am still enthralled, so need to share them.

Amazing image sources

More vintage images but you can't steal them!
Even more also not to be stolen! This guy has several sites where he scans paper epherema of all types. I actually remember some of the things he has here, but take heed- go refill your coffee and take the phone off the hook because you will be poking around here for a long time.

Perfect baby giftif daddy is incarcerated I guess. And next, the
Perfect Mommy gift for the same family! Actually this artist has a whole series of flesh colored leather gloves that have been tattooed one way or another. I think it's the latest Threads magazine (though that doesn't sound right) that has a set with big black moles with hairs added to the gloves! Very disturbing.

And finally, another plea to Save Print Gocco! go fill out their petition or whatever. This handy little machine cannot cost much to manufacture so lets get it back in production for the next batch of enthusiasts. Hmmm, I wonder when we will ressurect the old mimeo machines.

So this morning we took the Adorable Molly to the beach for sunrise. The place was thick with fisher-people along the surf, and she tried to make friends with them all but they were too busy to chat. So we ran the beach avoiding the foamy white stuff, and rolling happily in every pile of crap that the tide brought in. When you are a long haired dog, this is not the best practice. Let me say here that her favorite at-home roll is in TY's wet and stinky yoga clothes.

She really smelled bad on the way home SO it was bath time. I had to secretly fill the jacuzzi and get into my bathing suit (in case I had to chase her through the house) and gather her supplies- my shampoo + conditioner, her brushes and mat cutters, and lots of towels. Finally I grabbed her and stepped into the water---as she tried to climb onto my head. I have scratch marks all over my body from her trying to escape UP. But I prevailed and got her to sit long enough to splash water over her from the neck down and wash her filthy feet and (ahem) rear end. She was not a happy pooch. To get her out I had to sit there and drain the tub, then wrap her in towels so she couldn't bolt, and throw her in the shower so she could shake in there. Got all that done but she wouldn't shake. Gathered her up in the towel again and hauled her outside (glad to have the foresite to be wearing my bathing suit) to the sunny and hot patio. She laid down on the chaise and took the sun, finally got up and shook a few times but by then was drying off. I was exhausted, but still had to go clean the tub from all the sand she deposited and then take my own shower.

I have spent the afternoon smelling like wet-dog, a real step up from beach-dog.

The evening was devoted to 4 more plates, pictures tomorrow when I can turn them over. I need a few more for upcoming gifts, then it will be Etsy for me. I'll let you know when to look there.
