Waiting for the Moose

Horror-scope= 'You will see all your problems in a new light today. You have exceptional clarity.'

Yeah, if I could only find my glasses.

Today I finally got around to finishing up the Tank Necklace. I started out with five little army trucks and tanks, all different, and wanted to string them up to wear. The original cost was about a dollar I think. First I went to the local well stocked bead shop and got very intimidated so left with just a few rhinestones to glue on the trucks. Also, at that point I found some tiny amber rhinestone ciscles that were exactly the same size as the wheels so got a bunch of those. Second trip back I bought a few spacer beads, but still had no clue what was next. Finally I realized that whatever I did with the tanks was going to look amatureish unless I found out the correct way to get things strung so today I had an appointment with Shannon who led me by the hand into beaddom. I don't think I am a convert but the necklace is now spectacularly draped around my neck and I am thinking it deserves at least a night out to the pizza palace. Unfortunately the dollar necklace is now worth about as much as my real non-military car.

This morning after our dog park visit, I also got the latest batch of plates photographed. So here they are. I think I am going to give away the palm plate because I need a gift on Thursday. After this I will get them up on my Etsy Store site too.

And semi-finally, I worked on the Banyon box for the small-work show a bit more. The gray fabric I bought foer the binding isn't doin' it, so I will go to the upholstry shop tomorrow and see if I can find somethng more appropriate. Note to self: You can't buy GRAY in Florida.

And (ta dah) finally, I heard fromt he Acton library last night wondering where I am. Gotta get up there to see it and discuss what I can bring when I am home after next week! Found out I will be there for a crit group too, so I am very happy about that. Lots to look forward to in spite of the horror-scopes
