Inspire Me Thursday- Tape Image Transfer

This was fun and I actually learned something easy and quick! I have taught the gel and solvent transfer methods to fabric for years but this was way better, and seemed to get more predictable results too. I used an old baking cookbook for the background because I didn't want to destroy it just yet, simply scanned, cropped and printed to cardstock while the taped magazine images soaked. That took all of five minutes, less if your computer doesn't crash and have to be restarted. After 5 minutes the images were ready to roll the paper off- in fact the image of the woman was from a magazine cover and the paper layer just fell off all in one piece. 'Next time' (the famous words) I would not put the images over printed background because of the transparent quality, but hey- you live and learn, right? Another tool for the toolbox! Thanks for the push, and here is the Inspire Me Thursday website with the instructions.

i actually like that you can see the text "through" the image - love the cooking theme too!
