More work today trying to get the printing company to answer whether my postcard will be printed on two sides- I've sent emails on top of emails but am afraid that they will think I am stalking. Maybe it will all work out OK. What the hell, if it arrives with just one side, I will paste on labels with the show info at this point. Took me several hours trying to make the postcard image larger (seems simple. doesn't it? Not really when you have to learn the friggin program before you can make it work.), finally got the right combination of keys and voila! There she was! I sure liked my old PS version better because it had 'recipes' to follow for specific sequences I used all the time. I just need to use this more.
"People are Ass Hats' , Julia Another quote to live by.
I have continued stacking quilts, making sure they have nice tight sleeves, and measuring them. The dining room table will probably collapse under the weight, but I wanted everything possible to be ready- I still have to add up the measurements and figure out what goes and what stays and what I can add from the collage pile that I haven't dealt with yet. Those are all the same size and ready to go with no fitzin and futzin around so not nearly the problem. And the good news is that Nancy is going to help me hang it. I was getting worried about doing it all myself, and she is a great no-nonsense worker with a good eye. Phew!
We had crit last night, the smaller version, because Linda was just coming back from Scotland and Barb has been tied up with her FIL's funeral. Carol brought chocolate and I was happy as the proverbial pig. I showed 'Handwork' because Judy still had it from the photographers, and they all seemed to like it, a nice change from the reaction I got last time when I presented it's pieces to rousing...silence.
