Respirator Cynic

Here is tis Friday and I have been back from Boston for two days- when I left it was 67 degrees there and 80 degrees here. Today it is 30 in Boston and 80 here, heavy precipitation in both places. Looks like I got outta Dodge just in time as Jet Blue has 215 cancelled flights today.

I don't have much to say here today, but thought I would post the two sweaters I finished. The red cockeyed assymetrical cardigan was done two weeks ago but I just got around to photographing it,
the brown tee shirt was finished yesterday. it is cotton and a little hemp and worked up pretty quickly. The scallop around the edges is nice too but I screwed up one arm, not realizing it until WAY too late. So it's a hang-around shirt.
I really like the pattern and the way it fits though so started another one. The problem is that the red one on the circulars is all hemp and I may as well be knitting wire it's so stiff. I was *told* that it softens as you knit and that blocking finishes it off nicely. There is NO difference as I knit and am doubting that blocking will affect it either, so basically I am making a hair-cloth shirt- guess I will wear it when I am feeling really sorry for myself. The good thing is that it's so tough to work with that I am limiting my knitting time, always a good thing.
Now if the stupid game-boy from 1987 wasn't here taunting me...
