Electro-unciliated Scabbard
I know I haven't been around much lately, but without the camera to make these posts 'purty', without my usualy unscheduled schedule, and with every moment taken up trying to remember where I put this and that, I haven't had anything to blog about. Well, except yesterday when I went to the supermarket to get three or four things, picked them up and went through the express lane and realized when I got home I left a bag on the counter. Fortunately all that I am missing is 2 boxes of cereal, and I went to a market out of my usual circle so was not about to go back for cereal in the pouring rain and freezing temperatures. I would have used more gas than the cereal was worth.
Today I had been scheduled to teach my Vintage Fabric workshop at the Museum, teaching methods for collaging old stuff, somethng I am pretty much known for in my little circle here. Well, I got a call the other day, just as I was unearthing my notes and folder with the handouts and lesson plans, that it was cancelled. I only had a few signups, boo hoo. But they said they are going to try to do it again in the fall, sigh. Looks like the fall is getting busy because I already have a few teaching things going on- for a retired person I seem to still be in people's last-ditch lists. We'll see what else rears it's head between now and then.
SO- because it's still cold and rainy and I have a whole day ahead with nothing planned, I was able to mine my bloglines for some cool stuff finally. Here we go!
Virtual Shoe Museum. Make sure and check out the different artists and what they do- I could sepnd hours here poking around. You do know how much I love shoes...?
Adjustable high heels, those pesky industrial designers are at it again.
What to do with Grannie's Ashes. Sure beats getting them blown back in your face as you dump them in the ocean.
And now a few posts revolving around books that some talented people have ummmm, altered:
Artist Jim Rosenau's book constructions. Love the shelves but check the other things too.
Jessie Chorley's embroidered soft books.
What's aGelliBaff? It's somethng I want in gallon drums! This is so cool, I have to order it.
The scariest Baby Lamp on the planet!
And least, but probably not last, A Museum, who knew...

I just spent an enjoyable half hour looking at your quilts on your Flickr site - loved them!
