If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange apples then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas.
attributed George Bernard Shaw
I cannot escape trying out every link I come across- these letters are actually the tops of buildings all over the world- I have enough for 'DONABED' too but got bored importing them.
So, finally I got my camera lined up with my cable and have pictures of the tops I have been making- I know you all thought I sit at the computer all day, wrong. Sometimes I sit at the sewing machine and sometimes I sit in front of CSI.
Of course my lifestyle doesn't allow me to wear these ornate silks but I am making myself put them on with jeans just so they don't go to Goodwill someday in the future unworn. These are the tops I made from some of the fabrics TY bough me in San Franscisco- gave it to me and called it a 'challenge'. So I have risen to the challenge and now he is going back so I told him from now on I need at least ONE YARD of each. This skimpy pattern is getting tiresome. I have used 3 of the 7 fabrics completely, not a shred left and in fact a bit of cheating to make them work. (the first one I finished is here. Now I guess I will have to piece together a few different chunks to make the next one, and I have a rule (OK, it's a RULE!) that I can't buy anything additionally. I hear Tim Gunn in my sleep telling me to 'make it work'.
Oh boy, it feels so good to post somethiing I have done finally. I am so far behind I think I am ahead.
