And now I am gonna talk about SHOES. TY bought me an airport book in Dallas, something about shoe-aholics in a pink cover so I know it chick-lit and won't enjoy it, right? Nope- I am hooked on the first chapter, feeling guilty, blushing in recognition, and scared for some of my friends! This one will get passed around but first I think I will make it a nice protective cover of contact paper.

Wrong. It is a woman who has had her feet bound. I had no idea this was how it is done, by essentially folding the foot over on itself.
And this is why- to achieve a foot smaller than a pack of cigarettes.
