Rustically Diphthonged Bibliophile

More pages from 'FLYING UNDER BRIDGES'

On Thursday I got up to Lowell to see the show at the Brush and was very impressed. There were some pretty nice pieces hanging there and I could see how every one of them deserved to be there. If you missed the Lowell Quilt Festival last weekend, or even if you were there and missed the Brush show, get back and see it.

Tax Free Sunday and what do I do? Go to the Container Store looking for key chains! Of course this would save me about ten cents in tax, but guess what- they don't have them anyway! Oh well, I had a nice brunch with Sylvia before she flies off for the rest of the summer.

Odd shaped fruits and vegetables

And check this out, speaking of TOMATOS. This I simply have to try.

Now we move into science based tattoos like this DNA string that forms a dragon.
There are lots more here at flickr.

Here we have a Ying Yang Egg- the description of how it was done was interesting, basically the guy built a mold for the egg white, cooked it, and then moved it to the pan and browned it with his kitchen torch. The yolk was cooked separately and also transferred, then the whole thing was hit with spray oil to make it more appealing. Seems like a lot of work for a picture of an egg.

For those of you who thought math was useless, here is a simple model that can be constructed mathmatically from business cards. If you start now, you may be finished by next spring.

The Oracle of Starbucks- just put in what you usually order and it will give you a personality profile. My personality type is "lame". How true it is:

Behold the Oracle's wisdom on my choice of a small dark coffee:

Personality type: Lame
You're a simple person with modest tastes and a reasonable lifestyle. In other words, you're boring. Going to Starbucks makes you feel sophisticated; you'd like to be snooty and order an espresso but aren't sure if you're ready for that level of excitement. People laugh at you because you use fake curse words like "friggin'" and "oh, crumb!" Everyone who thinks America's Funniest Home Videos is a great show drinks small dark coffee.

Also drinks: V8
Can also be found: On the couch at home.

I don't even particularly like cats, but this is a compliation of lots of YouTube cat videos that makes me almost want one:

Here is the Koigu baby blanket I am making, and for once, enjoying. I just love modular knitting and can't wait to finish this so I can start another one.

Finally, do you think I need a haircut?
