Teapot Dome Scandal

Wow- thanks for all the emails and comments about the best teapots!  We had narrowed it down to one of those wonderful organic shaped Japanese or Chinese pots, the kind made from iron or heavy bodied clay.  The one I loved on the internet was unfortunately out of stock in the large size-  another consideration was I wanted it to be at least a quart.  So, meanwhile life intervened, TY took off for San Francisco while I have my friend from home here for a few days and the teapot project was abandoned.  At least until TY had some free time on his hands and ended up in Chinatown yesterday.  He found a teapot he loves and had it sent so I am looking forward to seeing it.  He has a camera phone but cannot figure out how to send a picture...  a luddite.  When I get it I will take my own picture.

So today I abandoned my friend to the overly warm pool (kinda feels like the old kiddie pool full of piss) and went to my class.  Here is what I did-  landed a hunk of asparagus onto a banyon tree, then stuck a Yukon lady onto a plan for a UFO.  As you can see I am not a photoshop giant.  In fact barely a photoshop midget:

And yes, I see that there are some bare spots but I am too lazy to go fix 'em. Then this riot of color:
So, I can assume that no one will be contacting me for my layering expertise?  Good, because I am too busy anyway, so there, with my teapot hunt and figuring out how to heat the pool and all.   I even had an offer today for a student to join a class with moi.  Also I had a great surprise today as I was sitting and waiting for the class to start-  a friend from QC walked in and is in my class too.  The thing I dread is she will see how incompetent I am, but on the other hand, it's nice to have someone I know there to laugh with.  Plus she can answer my questions.  It's a three hour class and I am only good for two before I get punchy.

After the class I blasted over to the FOCA show on S. Dixie because I have another friend in that show and wanted to see it.  Fun show, some very good work and some pieces that are *learning experiences*, but I was glad I went.

And now I have to fill in and mail out an entry or two with close dates, then hit the pillow.  I am beat.  Oh heck, maybe I will do it tomorrow.
