Whew, Got me Again

The Horror-Scope today
You don't know what to make of the rapidly changing work situation you are facing now. You shift from being okay to not okay and back in just a few minutes. Although this may be confusing to you, it can be truly disconcerting to others. Consequently, it's smart to keep your mood swings to yourself until they settle down. Be patient; you will gain clarity in the days ahead.
Yup, how did they know?  I am back in Boston and feeling sorry for myself without a studio!  That's NOT OK, but I am OK because we got a new car this afternoon.  Then I am not OK again when I need to find a needle and there isn't one like I want.  Then I am OK again because we are going out to dinner and I don't have to cook. But I'm not OK when I try to take a photo of a necklace I made to enter into a show and I don't have a pile of waiting CDs to put it on!  Back and forth back and forth.  And the To-Do list is growing faster than chin hairs.

Maybe I will feel better when I get a good night's sleep-  on the road at 5:30 this morning to take back the rental car and it was eerie out there with lightening flashing all around me in the pitch black.  Fortunately it stopped before I got plane bound and put on my earphones for protection from the talky predators next to me.  Not much on tv at that hour of the morning so I was forced into feighning sleep but the huge coffee I drank kept me awake.  Oh, and one more thing-  there should be a warning sign when you have to follow a 93 year old man into one of those airplane bathrooms.  Ick.  I waited as long as I could but geesh, it needed a fire hose to clean it...  his aim was apparently disturbed by a bit of turbulence.

The car won't be ready for a few days.  He told me to turn on my iPhone and immediately my whole address book appeared on the monitor.  And it's got a real iPod dock built into its own compartment-  not like the old one where I had one installed in the glove compartment and it was the height of cool -  oh, that was SOOOOO 2002!  Another thing that sold me was that when I put in my key EVERYTHING automatically resets to my own preferences.  When TY puts in his key, he gets his preferences right down to his radio station choices.  This means I might never have to listen to another religious program, no more heavy metal oldies, and (save us all), Glen Beck is officially a goner.  This new car will be worth every penny.  The GPS is supposed to be a good one but I will miss my TomTom- suppose I am not too old yet to learn a new system-  this one gives me several options for which 'home' I want to return to so I won't be getting the directions for the 1500 mile trip version when I am just down the road. Brains!  The GPS has brains now.  I just wish it wasn't black.  Oh well,  a deal is a deal.

Too bad we don't live closer to each other here in New England, you could pop over any time you wanted for thread or a disc or whatever.
