You With Map the Push

"Learning is finding out what you already know."  Richard Bach

So, yesterday afternoon in the studio I was able to finish up the quilting in short order on the Swamp.  For once I had an easy day of it, couldn't believe how easily it all finished up, so I cut the bindings and cut the sleeve and got those ready to attach.

I pressed the quilt and squared it up and marked the new edges and even got two binding sides sewn on.  Today I tackle the remaining two sides, then the handwork and I will be DONE!  Bet you will be really happy to never hear about this thing again.

I am somewhat distressed that I can't get it on the stretcher bars as planned, but the quilting took up just enough of the size that there isn't enough fabric remaining to get over the edges, so I've reverted to making an actual floppy quilt out of it.  I just don't want to make it smaller to fit smaller stretcher frames.  I think when it comes back to me after this summer that I will attach it just to the front of the frame since it's all ready to go.  That will give me time to cover it or paint it to make the edges look better too.

In case anybody wants to take me out to dinner, I'll have the Veal Milanese with the tricolored salade, please.  And yes, a glass of the Pinot Noir.  My favorite dinner.  I don't even miss the pasta or dessert.

I have been on the low carb pre-diabetic diet for about 3 weeks. I am feeling fantastic and have even lost a few pounds without trying!! Good luck!!
