House o Cute

Took my old friend up to meet my grandkids today and they were on their good behaviors and filling their house to overflowing with cute.  They did me proud.  Hazel warmed right up to her new friend and loved her new pinwheel. Elias was just waking from a nap but always seems to be in a fine mood.  He showed me his new trick-  now rolling from his tummy and suddenly discovering himself lying on his back and then reversing the process and again being surprised when he is looking at the floor.  He can't seem to figure it all out so keeps doing it over and over until he gets himself wedged under something and can't get out.  It's a endlessly entertaining parlor trick.

Oops, Wedged in Again!

Here Hazel is helping him with his new socks from Lisa. there were three new pairs in the box and Hazel wanted to see all of them on him.
And finally, a picture of Hazel:
And one of Elias:

And that's it for grandbabies.  I'm sure you don't need granddogs and grandcats too, they are (some of them) cute too, but today is about human critters.

We stopped at the farm stand at Cranes Beach and bought a huge peach pie.  the smell nearly drove me nuts in the car but I held myself, or rather the seat belt held me in the front seat and the pie was just out of reach in the back seat.  Safe.  I bought some new artisnal peanut butter laced with lots of spice. I loved it but Ty thought it had a 'mixed metaphor.  Also picked up three flavors of no sugar jams, which I will hide from myself so I make them last.  Lemon marmalade, Orange/Pineapple, and Apple Butter. And the biggest cucumber I've seen in years.

And Mandy gave me half a dozen duck eggs, huge ones, because the farm stand was out of them last time and she knows I like them.  Report to follow on the eggs.
