You might not do very well at controlling your enthusiasm today. This is an exciting time for you, but it's possible that you take a plan so far that others may tire of your unrealistic ideas. Talking less and doing more is the smartest way to show your possible detractors that you are more than just hype. Delivering the goods is more important now than just having a cosmic attitude.
And for once I am glad to have some enthusiasm goin' on, especially significant is the part about the cosmic attitude. Things are going swimmingly in the studio. The bridge piece is just about all together, am making some decisions about edges, then the task of sewing will start. Probably should be doing that as I go along but really need to see it all together first- I am about out of pins, of all things.
Trying to decide about 'water'.
Finished off the second last Christmas gift scarf late last night and it's blocking into shape on my counter right now. Phew, big load off on that one. I've decided to call it finished rather than go for the Dr. No look hanging to the ground. So, there is the 'delivered goods' part.
The hideous background I originally made for the bridge piece is tacked to the wall and I've decide it still needs to be a sky piece (a little bit 'cosmic'), but I will cut it into chunks and do some printing on it.
There are a few things I need to experiment with so it will be fun. Like plotting flying saucers.
And finally, I picked up my two fiberglass dogs yesterday. They are slightly smaller than I anticipated but I am well on my way on mine. The second one is going to be done by two friends who will work on it in the studio with me so that will be fun- I'll welcome the company.
Lacey, fresh with her coat of gesso and GAC 200. Ready for the work!
And speaking of company, Laurie is coming today so we can talk about our work. She took some amazing classes this summer I am dying to hear about, and I am full of yakkety yak about my Nick Cave influenced dog idea that she will completely understand.

I'm so glad you got to take in the Nick Cave exhibit, and I can see there is inspiration lurking under every polar bear and soundsuit. I can't wait to see your progress~ Bev
