My personal favorite that I would have driven right out of there given a chance! A NASH! Of all things to capture my heart...
This I took to give to my SIL an BIL because they bought our T-bird last year. Now they know what an original one looked like.
Here is one row of the drive-in complete with speakers and trays set into the windows, not to mention the bench seats which allowed for all sorts of nookie that bucket seats killed. Check out the big cheezy moon.
It was so cold today I had to wear my wool scarf and mittens so was glad to not spend too much time outside looking at rows and rows of more cars, including the rows of Cobras in every available color with their little hoods up awaiting inspection. (I would have stolen a maroon 1935 Ford pick-up if no one was looking from this bunch! How could I resist a truck that said Acme Dynamite Company from Sparks Nevada on it's doors?) I just love old cars, wish I could have one again, but we only have a one car garage and the Cobra has to live in there. Sigh.
Hard to see this tiny image but it's a darling little metal box made from an Al-u-MIN-ium drink can, and the full directions are a video here. Perfect little ring box, but you have to make two.
So, today I found a guy in the UK, Edward Horsford, who photographs exploding water balloons. The images are amazing and with a bit of hunting I found this article about how he does it.
