So, yesterday, Christmas Day, we went to the last party and afterwards I swore off carbs again since I've noticed some of my pants are so tight I have to remain upright. And this is not fun. So today I started out with a vengence, checking glucose levels, monitoring the remainders in the refrigerator, putting away tjhe glittery decorations so I don't make excuses that it's the holidays any longer. And I read this in the Horror-Scope:

You may try to start a new diet today while the rest of the world is indulging in holiday feasts. But you're not in your usual party spirit because you are strongly driven to clean up your act right now. It's not that you want to have any less fun; it's just that you know you need to improve your health and are currently motivated to do something constructive about it. Your goals are admirable, but don't forget to give yourself permission to enjoy the magic of the season.
Crap, as we say in the fat-lady business. Crap. "How Do It Know?"

So, no more creepy Santas, no more silvery decorations everywhere, we are back on the straight and narrow. I did laundry, picked up the place, and then went to the studio today where I did more picking up and storing things away. It's been a while since I've spent any time there with everything else going on and there is lots to do even before I can get back to work. Hopefully tomorrow I can get in and clear the decks so my life will stop being just maintaining!

The east coast is a travel nightmare today and I have some friends stranded in about six states. I hope it clears tomorrow for those that are stuck, and while I'm at it I will also hope that the temprature goes Up and the winds go Down for the folks that are 'stuck' here in FL for the holidays. It's damn cold out there tonight. Woe to the orchids.
