I misspoke (surprise!) calling this outer space plant an aloe, it's some sort of aguave, and a foot taller than yesterday. I am packing up my stuff, ready to run for my life before it starts moving toward the house. These were yesterday afternoon's shots:

Here is the close up of the stalk as it bursts forward. I swear I can SEE it growing.

Fortunately today is freakin' freezing so growth has slowed down a bit to cope, but once the sun hits it we are all in danger. This morning the stalk has a top-knot on it- could be growing a head- and it's leaning toward the house. If you don't hear from me again you'll know what happened.

Seymour is pretty cool looking! I thought it was a yucca at first (but no nothing about plants). Can't wait to see what the bloom looks like.

I saw agaves blooming in Ecuador and I thought they were some kind of Dr. Seuss trees. VERRRRY tall and quite interesting to look at.
