Bet You Can Tell---

I'm in the dumps lately. I have nothing going on but cleaning the refrigerator out and making plans for the summer travel. And now TY has added on yet another trip and I can't figure out how I will manage to fit this in too. I just got home from getting the Palm Beach rabies tag, buying water bottles for the car ride, and finding a 9V battery for the garage door opener that just stopped working, and what does he do but tell me we 'ought' go visit some friends this summer. I asked if we had been invited, and he said sure, they said to come up anytime. Well to me that isn't an invitation, a phone call and a suggested date are an invitation! So, if sometime since last summer YOU are the one who said to drop in any old time and you actually meant it, please call and confirm.

I'm waiting and waiting and waiting... yup, I thought so! You really didn't mean it! And that's OK because I am too busy this summer to contemplate another trip. Thanks though, for the 'sorta' invite. You can 'stop in any time' with us too.

Got notification that my Sketchbook Project has been digitized and is online now here. Just click the 'Artwork' button on the page that opens and you can see the whole thing, but the pages haven't been scanned in order for some unknown reason. Doesn't matter. Anyway, there are 10,000 other books they are in the process of scanning, then sending around across the country so there will be plenty to keep you busy poking around. Some are quite amazing! The front cover (and also the link) is shown on my 'Books' page (see the blog menu above) if you lose your way and need to find the breadcrumb trail again.

Found some new slippers

and I think I will be wearing them in the car ride home. The only problem might be Molly so perhaps I will have to buy her a muzzle before we leave- hope I can find one to go with her shiny new green rabies tag.

Nothing in green, but this one will suffice and keep her off my new comfy slippers though it might cause some deep scratches around my ankles. So I will also be taking along some antiseptic just in case.

This kind of invitation would be valid over here in Germany; we mean what we say, it may even be: "no you better not come today" oder even "you better go home now, I'm tired". It took me a long time to get used to that, but it is practical and makes you feel safe.
