Summer Solstice

Over in Poznar, Poland, they let 8000 lighted paper lanterns hit the sky. Pretty, eh? Sure wish it actually was summer here- don't think it hit 50 degrees all day.

Which isn't a bad thing when one is chained to a sewing machine! I finished 1/4 of the piecing between last night and today. My design wall keeps falling down so I have to be really careful pinning or I'll get beaned. It's slow going, I ve made several mistakes but as I progress I am checking each step as I go rather than assuming I have picked up the right combinations or that I don't get them turned a wrong way. And then I get this today:

Although you're pushing yourself to finish a big project, it looks like it might take a little longer than you first expected. You may be tempted to blame someone else for your delay, but the current obstacles are most likely in your way because of you. Listen to the wisdom of the universe and slow down your pace now while you can still solve the problem.
Damn, it's like I am being watched by the stars, and not the ones in Hollywood!

Do you suppose over in Poznar, Poland they have to go through about 450 various agencies and bureaus to get approval for this kind of activity? Maybe get covered with 10 or 15 liability insurances, etc. Or they just go ahead and DO it? I'd like to know! Such beauty!

Very cool! It looks just like part of a scene from Tangled, which I watched last weekend and enjoyed.

Definitely a fire hazard, but cool!
