TED talks

First of all, let me tell you how much I love the TED talks series. Today I got a new link in my inbox and have a few minutes before gong to crit group so decided to watch one about a Biennial arranged by Shea Hembrey. I guess you'd call him a conceptual artist, but watch and decide for yourself. The beginning is slow, wait for the slides!

He has it knocked, doesn't he! (Squirrel brains aside.)

Damn. I want to hire this guy to write any artist statements I need in the future. Actually I'd like to hire him to create the persona I'd need to go into witness protection etc. That would be fabulous. I love his three-part criteria: head heart and hand because he values skill and technique. Now that I think about it, I might use his multiple personality approach in case I go off and do something off my beaten path. Call it by someone else so it stands by itself.
