Cockroach? Bee? Fly? I dunno, you pick.
Whatever, it's icky.

Great news for all you cat lovers out there (not necessarily me!) Here:
Ummm, smells like CAT!
Now I don't want to hear another word about cat hair on your quilts- clean them off and make something questionable for your cat to bat around. If you happen to be a DOG person (like I am):
AND from Buffalo (like I was),
here you go on some grooming tips for Poochie. This poor animal was groomed in China where it is apparently necessary to disguise Poochie as some other creature. Imagine how the wee ones will scatter as you walk your Faux Bison down the street... Imagine the Dog Park clearing out when you enter... Imagine how this would be a boost to Punkie's self esteem.Back in Real Life, I got through the Birthday Weekend for TY. Nate came down from Boston and surprised the heck out of him lurking behind the car in the driveway while was a harpie screaming for help with the 'load' in the car. So good to see him, and as much as I would have loved to have Jackie here too, it was nice to get him to myself. We had some friends in one night for ribs and cornbread and that went well (nobody has called from the hospital yet) but frankly I am beat from being 'on' all weekend.
Today I am back in the studio solving a few problems and climbing a few learning curves... I have an opportunity on the table that involves me submitting a video, which I haven't ever done. Well sure enough, I checked my 'good' studio camera and my directions say that I am limited to ONE HOUR VIDEOS. Well damn. I set up the tripod to give it a test but there sure wasn't anything moving in this place to actually take a moving picture, so I aimed at the doorway waiting for something to go by. Nothing. Finally I thought I better jump in front, which woke up the sleeping dog so she joined me for an on-camera leap. And I am now officially a videographer. Where do I submit my reel? Seriously I was able to transfer the video of me from my knees down onto the computer and I am thinking I can manage 5 minutes if somebody is around to help a bit, Of course I have to also figure out how to edit but that will wait till I get myself camera ready. Ha. And I also figured out how to delete crappy video.
Next I started layering the 'Offensive Quadrant' quilt, which I do with spray adhesive on the design wall. I had already stuck the plastic up on both sides and brought in the protective paper for the floor and taped all this in place. I learned my lesson with a sticky studio when I first attempted this. And up on the ladder I went to start. it wasn't but a few seconds of spraying when I heard the dog start sneezing and I realized what I was doing! OMG, she was turning into my canary! I grabbed her and my keys and raced her outside and took her home. When I got back to the studio the AC had done a good job of clearing the fumes so I continued with my hideous gas mask on and cranked up the fan to extra speed. So, that's half done, still have to add on the top but it needs a few more edges added on. Should be done today, and I mean 'done' in the sense that I can get it off the wall and under the needle. Much ahead of me wrestling this thing around. So, off I go, cough cough.
