(but keep it on the beach, please)
Chitlins, anyone?

I like this one much better:

The Quilt Project is chugging along.  I've pieced together the backing, a great exploded chrysanthemum Kaffe fabric, and pressed it and it's currently pinned on the wall.  The batting has been stretched over it but I'm not sure as to whether I will layer it and quilt it or send it along to an expert, must decide pretty soon.  The top is still in quadrants so today's project is to get that sewn together and the borders added.  Once I have all the layers complete I'll make the big decision as to whether I'm up for the quilting or not.  I am thinking simple diagonal machine work with embroidery big-stitch hand quilting here and there- perhaps the border where it will show and not interfere with the 'read'.  I would have quilted it all in quadrants but that has it's own particular issues-  I hate trying to go back in and make quilting lines meet.  I've been at this for almost 40 years now, you'd think I would have come to terms with hating the quilting part.

OK, Asking you to go back in recent memory now-  remember my squirrel posts where I concluded the only good squirrel is on doing acrobatics on a neighbors telephone wires?
even sleeping baby squirrels are rodents, you know...
Well, I am basically an animal lover, but IMHO there isn't room for a squirrel in my house.  But watch this-  somebody has room for PRAIRIE DOGS, and the good part is they have been taught to clean.

This is very long, you don't have to watch the whole thing, but damn, don't they have a clean house?  All I have is a no shed dog and she sleeps all day and the house is upside down.  Just this morning I was tidying up the guest room and pulled FOUR of her bones out from behind the pillow where she stashes them 'for later' and then forgets about them.  Please folks, leave the prairie dogs on the prairie.
