more turkey remnants
This all took from 9 in the morning until 3 in the afternoon. And all I did was sync, which sure made me feel out of sync. I went home and made a fabulous dinner of slow roasted chicken thighs and pumpkin sage gnocchi. Both were just plain not good, but they sure sound good, don't they? Tonight the remaining thighs will reappear as a chicken pot pie. The gnocchi won't reappear because I ate so many I felt sick, kept thinking they SHOULD taste better. But I like the Idea of them and will manipulate it a bit until it is a keeper. I am discovering that internet recipes are usually not test-kitchened reliably, instead are written by well intentioned bloggers, and as things SHOULD taste better, I also SHOULD pay more heed.
Yesterday I was scheduled to help get things ready for the Special Olympics golf event coming up here, so was incarcerated at the Capital Grill all morning stuffing goody bags. Poor me, we stayed for lunch, then hauled all the baggies back to a holding place until they are given out. And it was about 3 by the time I got home, a day pretty much spent, but I scrambled back to the studio to print my sock pattern out so I can start it and have something to work on in the evenings. That took a bunch of time because I don't just press 'print', instead I mess about for awhile and get ready to finally leave and realize I forgot to print the pattern so have to stay another 30 minutes doing that.
Have you ever seen a more disorganized mind?
ALL this is to say I am busy as all get out, but accomplishing very little. Today I am actually glued to a seat working on the Four Turkeys piece, but I am tired of appliqué already and need to do something else.
