See right there where the line hits the arm and says 'wrist extensors'? Well, it seems I have torn whatever that thing is. It's all balled up inside my arm like a big ole walnut. It didn't hurt when it happened but was a golf ball sized thing back then a month ago. Because it doesn't hurt, though watching the bruise grow from just the ball to elbow-to-wrist, I haven't gone to the doctor. But I am thinking that I should probably do it. How did it happen? I picked up my chunk of a grandson, he wiggled on my arm a bit and it felt like when you're a kid and someone gives you an 'Indian burn'. It stopped hurting as soon as I handed him off, and I didn't pay any attention until an hour later when the gigantic swollen golf ball stuck itself through the cuff on my blouse! Wow- WTF??? Never saw anything like it before.
So I am basically fine unless I lean on the lump, but that's getting better as it gets smaller. Besides I'm not supposed to put elbows on the table anyway, right?
So all was well until yesterday when I picked up a grocery bag of trash to put in the dumpster on my way out the studio door and it felt like a needle entered my ring finger near the first knuckle. I dropped the bag and yelled YowwwPPP, but didn't see anything, certainly no needle or pin. By the time I got to the dumpster- 10 steps from the door- it was throbbing and I could see a puncture wound. I think I got bit by some damn spider here. Like TY says, One word: EXTERMINATOR. Yup, I think I need to do it because I am getting real sick of vacuuming up the spider food caches. Had to remove my ring and the finger swelled up quite a bit and the joint really hurt, couldn't close the finger. But by morning it was better, still swollen but didn't hurt.
UPDATE: I went to Google images to find a picture of my spider bite and am completely grossed out! Seems that some spiders venom actually dissolves human flesh and the images are disgusting! Mine looks like a slightly swollen finger, NOT like what Google is showing, thanks god! Oh geese, I'm not going to get those out of my mind now.
Maybe tomorrow I'll have some better news. Spent the day today re-doing 2 encaustics in the latest series and working on the Sketchbook project book, which is coming along nicely so far now that I have my story.
And speaking' of stories, tell me this kid isn't a good example of ICKY parenting. Lettuce prey she is removed from whatever influences she how has teaching her these things and goes on to become a productive member of society, and no, you cannot tell me that 'Beauty Queen' is a productive occupation.
As much as I do not like this young thing, I wouldn't wish a spider bite on her.
Here's to better days ahead, like tomorrow!.
