Canberra Adposition Detente

I almost hate to do this to you but NAH NAH NAH NAH NAH!  Yesterday morning my pal Laurie took me by the hand away from the computer problems and led me to the Farmers Market down in West Palm. I wasn't keen on the idea because the last time I was there several years ago they had three hard tomatoes and two soft cukes and it was a wasted trip. But boy, was I surprised!  There was a whole tent of just heirloom tomatoes-  I picked three big ones and the lady threw in two more after they were weighed, then directed me to a couple of bushel baskets where even more smaller ones were waiting for me-  FREE, as many as I wanted.  So I had the job of carrying around a whole sack of these beauties for the rest of the day, such a burden.  Truly I have long bitched about the icky produce down here on the peninsula- everything good gets packed into trucks and whisked away northward and I haven't had a good tomato since 1992.  This just proves THEY ARE HERE.  I just have to go pursue 'em.

The Farmers Market was the best one I have ever been to-  many tents of fresh beautiful produce, other tents of prepared foods to eat there or take away, interesting things like the spice lady with probably 100 metal bowls of spice blends and teas, the French cheese booth, the olive oil tent, the bread tent, the cookie lady, the fish tent,  a tent of large Jamaican ladies with caldrons of oil making conch fritters-  a picture I wish I'd taken!  Also a Turkish guy in his tent where they were grilling lamb sausage sandwiches- I couldn't go by this one and ended up sitting on the curb to snarf it down.   But there's more!  Lots more, certainly more than one could carry, and absolutely more than one had enough cash for.  And I didn't even get through the flower tents-  amazing succulents and a whole tent of air plants, then the orchids...  OMG,  the orchids...  Next Saturday morning I am taking a friggin' WAGON and heading back down.

Meanwhile I roasted up some of the bounty before heading off to dinner last night:

Laurie left me at the Maul to race in and grab my fixed computer, hauled it out through Bloomingdales and went home asap to save my veggies.  I then hit the studio with the computer and started the process of setting it up.  I plugged in my backup drive and low and behold at some point in October it had been plugged in and had grabbed all my stuff up to that point so I'm looking at recreating only a few months of stuff, not two years like I thought I had lost.

Oh, Happy Day!

And, now with photo streaming with iCloud, this will not be a problem again.  Double back-up.  And in the process I found the funniest photo. Yesterday was Elias' second birthday and the last time we saw him was at Christmas in our house up north.  After dinner he was moving around getting into everything 2' off the floor and at some point, unnoticed, he gathered all the napkin rings off the table and collected them for me in the dog's dish.  He topped it with the stick from TY's collection of singing bowls.  I didn't notice until the next day and laughed every time I walked by-  I left it there because the dog was back in FL and it was so cute.  Here:
(Yeah, the dog has a placemat, want to make something of it?)
