Figured some of you may need this today.
Mark Twain
I learned something new yesterday, the French term 'marcottage' – an art term used to indicate a sculptural composition that’s been made using pre-existing elements. Cool term, now I have to use it three times today to make it 'mine'. Some of my work is borderline marcottage, but more certainly the Broken Angel House is:
Most of the coverage you’ll find about the Broken Angel House, a handmade architectural marvel in Clinton Hill (Brooklyn), starts the story in 2006, when there was a small fire that set off all the trouble. That’s the year the tale switches from one about brilliant bohemian artists building their crazy dream house to one about an eccentric old man overwhelmed by legal troubles, shady business partners, and the strangling bureaucracy of the city.
Arthur Wood has been likened to an American GaudÃ. The Broken Angel House has been compared to LA’s Watts Towers and Austin’s Cathedral of Junk. Borough President Marty Markowitz called it “a Rubik’s Cube of a spaceship.” It’s been termed vernacular architecture, folk art, outsider art, and — naturally, by some — a frightening eyesore. In its heyday, the Broken Angel was one of the most strikingly unique sculptural works in all of New York. Tragically, much of it has been dismantled in the past decade, and what’s left is not likely to last much longer. His son has started a Kickstarter fund raiser to rehab it into a museum but last I could find is that it was in foreclosure and might be torn down.

ARTFORUM, WITH IT'S MARCH ISSUE IS FINALLY GOING ONLINE.
Good thing that morning I had stuck my corned beef and little spuds into the slow cooker, eh? Dinner was pretty darn good, love that cooker! And finally we went out for the traditional ice cream run to celebrate that the car works great. I drove, and had Heath Bar crunch, about 3 tablespoons of it before I stopped. I wouldn't let TY in the car with his quart- dogs are sticky enough.
Test Drive, What I went through the other day with TY testing. When I took over, all was smooth. My saleswoman told him a story through clenched teeth on 95 as he was swerving in and out of traffic- she ended it with, "The name of the road is 95, that's NOT the speed limit!".
There is a new food coloring, entirely safe to consume, and available for the first time in a spray can!
Yup, now you can make your goose golden.
And finally an EEEEEkkkk image:
Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD.
And an AWWWWWwwwww image:

Oh I WANT those toenails!
As for bumper stickers, etc. my used Honda Civic needs all the help the poor little frog can get, and since I plan to be buried in it, I've festooned her posterior with all manner of artistic, if conflicting, bumper stickers and such. It's behind me afer all. Best of luck with Alice..
Find the folks who do car wraps and ask them . . . or if you want, send me a computer file of what you want and I can try and get the guys who wrapped the WASmobile to print it out on wrap for me . . .
Grats on Alice! and thank you thank you thank you for that little morality tale. sigh. so true... so true... so hard to remember. Anyway Argento the Fiat sends his regards to Alice - Ciao!
