Spring — Giuseppe Arcimboldo

oh, really?

FAT IS ONLY UGLY UNTIL YOU PUT A NIPPLE ON IT! (unknown)

Years ago, Johnny Highwaycone decided to wander across the countryside, perhaps knowing that someday we would need highways and--therefore--highway cones, sowing highway cone seeds everywhere he went.

Reminds me of the old Terrorist-and-Sewing-Society tee shirt I used to have.

With Easter and Passover and lord-knows-what-else coming up quickly, this is appropriate
or at least as appropriate as I ever get.

And to keep a small theme moving from thing to thing, I was going to save the ravens for tomorrow but my west coast buddy sent me this logo for the University of Tromso in Norway which is so cool-
Here is what she said about it:  The University of Tromsø, which is both the northernmost university in the world, and the newest Norwegian university, has two ravens as its logo. They are, of course, Hugin and Munin, the two ravens who sat on either side of Odin, and who go out every day to survey the world and bring him back the news.   One represents thought and the other one memory (or desire, depending on your translation).

Two more Ravens~
Our 40th anniversary this weekend.  Party on.

Happy Anniversary to you too. Maybe you'll get one of these as a gift - I have the mug version. These days it's probably not so PC but then again I am always telling people not to mess with quilters - we have sharp things and know how to use them!

I think I read of the two crows somewhere as reason and desire but I love the concept of crows as minions.
