Artist's aim-

"The whole point of making art - or of doing most things - is that people want to be good at it." - Anya Gallaccio

Starting with some ridiculousness today- Japanese dog muzzles-  had to take a threat seriously, isn't it?

and Cat Manes, to make them look even more ferocious!  Can be bought at the Etsy store of their inventor, and they come in all sorts of catty colors.  Would also work on smaller dogs with no ego.

Was in the studio for hours yesterday but frankly didn't get a lot done because I was watching the hunt progress through it's steps.  I'd start to do something and NPR would spring forth with a new item of interest so I'd head back to the computer.  Over and over.  I did manage to print a bit for the current book, but I was sitting there at the computer anyway, so it barely counts as work.  I cleaned out the huge bag collection I've accumulated and threw it to the resident raccoon who sits on top of the dumpster making chewy noises at me.  Also threw out some trash and tidied up a bit.  Today I am going to do a bit more printing and see what collage happens if I just let it go out of my head and onto the papers and claim no responsibility, always a good policy.

Ordered a  dress not too long ago, a very cool one with an overhead view of Capri digitally printed on the whole length-  a dress arrived yesterday that was solid color chartreuse!  I checked the website before I called and found that the two dresses had been interchanged on the site.  So I called and had a devil of a time explaining it to a person who wasn't great at English-  how you say 'transposed' in Hindi?  But alas they don't have the dress I thought I ordered in my size so back the chartreuse number goes.  That's the third problem I've had in a week with online ordering, guess three times is the charm, so I won't be doing that again.  From now on the rule is I can't have it unless I can TOUCH it first.

Found this fabulous wooden mug the other day (again, too much time on the inter webs), went to order a few but found out they are $70 each, so they are off my wish list.  last thing I need are more mugs anyway, but there's always room for a really cool one!

*First out, I'm going to take a minute to show you how Boston looked yesterday-  I'd swear somebody photoshopped out the cars in these pictures.
Yesterday during lock down-  This is my exit off the turnpike and it's usually backed up for miles.
This is Central Square, a usually gridlocked area.
And finally, Harvard Square-  a place you only go to by subway because of hideous traffic!

And with that, back to the RedSox game, and a tasty dog...
