(IMHO)

My arguments are derived solely from experiment, which is the source of all evidence, the one and only mother of true science....It is useless to conduct an argument by mere quotation from authorities; that does not prove cleverness; it only suggests a good memory.    Leonardo

I will admit kittens are cute.   And that is all I will say about cats, promise.

OK, on with business.  I worked on he ArtBra project, even got to sticking on the sparkly 'rubies' before I left the studio.  I left it hanging to settle itself, and next I have a few more stitches to take and I have to find a satin covered hanger to present it on.  Where in hell...?  Oh, of course!  Amazon.  I got the assorted flesh colored ones-  8 different tones.  Should be here next week.

Also I finally finished my linen scarf from the Antonia Shankland pattern I found on Ravelry.
Wow, bad color-  it's deep red and dark brown with bright orange.  I'll do better tomorrow.  The darn thing is really long, has taken all summer to finish.  And what for since this is FLorida and my scarf wearing ops are maybe three days a year.
Now today, since I can't do the studio on Sunday (how I miss the Christian heavy metal band practicing in the next door office!)  At least I knew nobody would come near with all that noise going on.  My solution was earphones.  Guess I complained too much.

I found an interesting article that is pertinent to a couple of quilters I know.  I get the online art magazine that has some excellent lead articles and yesterday was "In defense of the grid":   How the Grid Conquered Contemporary Art | Art for Sale | Artspace because we all know how much I love the grid!

4. Pay attention to your energy levels
When you are freshest, do the most important art projects or art marketing tasks that demand your highest creativity. Save the more mundane jobs for when your creative tank is low.
Sometimes you need to take a complete break from art to let new ideas incubate. Don’t try to force creativity. Just be okay with the lull. Most times it’s a great incubation period and ideas will surface later. The tank will fill again.
Artists have different time spans and times of the day in which they can produce quality creations. Sense your rhythms and respect them. When the “inner bell” goes off, it’s time to move on to something else where your energy is fresh.

I love the grid. I work it. I use it. I love it. I am unapologetic about it. I'm a quilter. That's what I do.
