Today has gone to the dogs already.  And I mean that literally.  Molly's third eyelids won't go back to where they should so I asked about them at her wellness appointment today.  The vet seemed overly anxious that I get her right back to her eye surgeon so I made an appointment for that on Friday.  She got her rabies booster and that means I get her last tags to add to my quite jangly necklace I wear to dog shows or other canine related activities.  Since all the tags are different colors, it's kind of jangly to the eyes as well.  So I hope we get her squared away (AGAIN!)  The good news is she is starting finally to put some weight back on and looks ever so much less bony.  And her face hair is growing out so she doesn't look like an Afghan with a miniature body.  We're getting there.

I worked in the studio until late last night doing some printing but for some reason the printer stopped liking the paper I was sticking in-  I made 15 images and on #16 it kept telling me the paper wasn't compatible.  I'll be darned if I can find any settings that changed.  Can't figure it out but OF COURSE I have one more to do.  Yeah, ONE.  Hope I can get it going again.  

Meanwhile, things are getting sparse here in the tropics, people leaving in droves, and most all tell me they envy me staying put.  Meanwhile I have a couple of things for you to check out today-  hope you find tham as interesting as I do!

Welcome to Nagoro, a small village tucked into the valleys of Shikoku, Japan, a place where old residents are being replaced by life-sized dolls.The work is part of a project by longtime resident and artist Ayano Tsukimi who returned to the village after an 11-year absence to discover many of her old neighbors and friends had left for larger cities or simply passed away. The town itself is dying with a dwindling population of about 35 people.

Over the last year artist Blu has dropped a number of killer murals in several Italian cities, most recently in Niscemi (top) where he created a three-story piece depicting a military figure playing a weaponized xylophone. Despite the extreme visual density present in Blu’s latest works, it’s impossible to miss his perspective on contemporary society from his skewering of religion and consumerism to his distaste for war and injustice. 

A fabulous squirrel cookie cutter, but I'd use to for making cookies for the dogs- 

 its the closest they will ever get to catching one!

Besides, silly, squirrels don't eat cookies!
