I love Book Crossing, in fact have let a few old paperbacks go by leaving them here and there in Florida. Seems I am in better places to leave them there. I do have quite a few books I could get rid of here, might have to visit the park across the street and leave them on benches. My only problem with this is getting them ready- removing my name, getting the stickers that they are indeed 'found' books and not 'lost' books.
Like a pimple that has taken it's time to come to a head, I am having an issue today with the GDILs, or at least one set of them. They are having a big beach party and have invited the immediate hundreds of family members but have NOT invited Amanda and Jamie, their neice ferkrissake. They told the Other SIL that they 'don't have her address'- like they couldn't have called one of us? Well OSIL didn't stand up for this and jumped on her 'they didn't send out change of address cards' theme. Of course folks can invite who they want to their parties but they invited her brother! The unmittigated bad taste of these people. i should start chronicling their history of slights. SO- I have written letters to both of them- the one to the OSIL just tells her she was wrong to not stand up for this, the one to the GDILs divorces them once and for all.
The whole POINT is what pisses me off, because Amanda and Jamie will be on vacation up in Maine that week anyway. But they shoulda been invited since every other miscreant and idiot in the extended family has been. P'tui on them.
