So, today we decided to give the TomTom a run for it's (very high) money and TY wanted to go to Kittery of all places. From here it's about an hour and 20 minutes and our route was charted for us as the most direct. Once I got the darn thing back on English from Dutch and turned it right side up again I was in a spin to go somewhere I would have to have looked at a map to figure out. (Huh? Convoluted that was...) So, I didn't have to enlist Tonny to translate afterall. It sure would be inconvenient to keep her on speed dial to check what the Dutch robot lady was saying to me. But it worked great, better than Ralph reading the signs (another argument but it led to the town of Kittery- which we loved- and our fried clam fix for the season.) Here is the Portsmouth bridge picture on our way north:

And the Mystic River bridge heading into Boston:

And the best for last, the Zakim Bridge:

And a final indignation- I bought a wee box of marzipan the other day, all rolled up into miniature fruits. Today I grabbed out the banana, and found that it is only HALF a banana, the top half. So I checked the pear and the strawberry too and they are all halves too. I have been gypped, and now must eat them all rather than dole them out over time. Always check the bottom of your marzipan.
Top and Bottom
And the good news is that I finished machine quilting the circles piece today and have started blocking it on the wall so it will be ready for a binding tomorrow. AND I have laid out yet another design using up all but one last block. I will just sew the blocks together so it will be another 'example', but it will never become anything. Easy!
