Not Learn at Coalscuttle Source

Today back at Curves, been a busy week and that was (natch!) the first thing to go. I missed the trivia question today too- I am saving up my 'Curves Bucks' from all the answers I get right to buy me whatever they have that doesn't have a Curves logo on it.

After Curves (which for me are still Bulges) I got to go pick up the TomTom. TY asked me how much I paid and I didn't tell him- he thinks it's a lot cheaper than it is but he DID say to get it. Well somehow I screwed it up and have spent all friggin' day trying to read Dutch UpsideDown. Finally got it set where I want it tonight and I now have a manly Aussie telling me where to go- what more could I ask for? This thing will be great on the way to Florida and back, it will enable us to get off the main road and get rerouted immediately, to find a gas station or hotel, or even just to listen to the Aussie! Though TY may perfer Catarina from Portugal.

After I got that in the car I ran into W.O.W. (my favorite close-by store, Perceptrions being my favorite out of the close-by zone store) to see what Erika has added in these months. I found a great shell and jacket that will be perfect for fall here and Florida later, looks like a Missoni. Well, it's 'Missoni-ish'. Also got a long purple linen zen top on sale that's like the striped one I bought this spring and have worn a hundred times. And the final indulgence was a wonderful bag by 'Gild the Lily', a company that digitally prints fabric for art clothing. I have loved their stuff for several years, but it's very expensive so I have admired it from afar- the bag is the bottom of the heap for cost, and it's wonderful. Finally I have something of theirs.

So, this looks like a blog about spending vast quantities of money, doesn't it? Guess I had better pull in the reins a bit but I haven't spent anything all summer. I am under control again. Promise. My name is Sandy and I am a spendaholic...

Meanwhiole back at the ranch, I have the Cylvia quilt about half quilted- I am doing concentric circles, big ones, and so far am liking the poly soft batt a whole lot. I only pinned it together and started to work on the machine and it stayed flat with no spray glue this time. That makes me happy because it makes a mess when I use it, not to mention that I lose brain cells spraying in such close quarters. Maybe I can finish it up tomorrow- OK, that's the goal. That and a final picture.
