A MYSTERY on our hands! This morning TY went out to walk MB (Molly Bolt) and came in to tell me that we are missing a lizard. I have had 2 big lizards, one a monitor, the other an iguana, and got tired of them on our entry hall table so put them on the steps in the pool, but this morning there is only one- the guy on the second step. Our ideas of where it could be are: 1. the pool guy took it, 2. a racoon pulled it out, and 3. It is being held for ransom and we will hear from the kidnapper soon. If you have our lizard, please get in touch- we are putting out a Chartreuse Alert and you WILL be prosecuted.Oh, did I mention that they are both rubber? Here is the lonely survivor, his friend was abducted from the top step right above him.
So, while I was taking the evidence photos, I noticed a really nice reflection of the palm trees on the pool surface so thought I would include that too. Since the perp always returns to the scene of the crime, maybe you can spot his reflection too?
OK, enough of that. I won't call the FBI yet, waiting for the ransom note.
And I flew out of West Palm for colder climes today. I had the most unbelievably mean little woman sitting in my aisle, she made her husband sit in the middle seat and she actually slapped him when he mistakenly turned up the volume on his earphones and used her controls instead. I mean ***SLAPPED*** him. These people were about 80 and she yelled at him for every incident that came up. When she discovered she didn't have a bag with her boots and scarf in it as we were getting off she got REDFACED and reamed him out from top to bottom- the woman must have weighed 100# with all her jewelry on, but if ever there was a justifiable homicide, her husband could do it.
We had a great flight- any flight that lands on purpose is a great flight. I think I might have been an unwitting victim in a taxi scam- I was headed for the taxi line at the airport and a young guy came up to me and asked if that's where I was going because he has a taxi and he's free, follow him please, he is a Boston cab. And ya know what I did? I followed, right up the escalator and figured out that he dropped off someone up there at departures, then scurried down to find someone for the cab ride back to the city. And there I was, call me Patsy! So I hop in, the suitcase gets put in the trunk and we are off- then I see that there is no name tag with something like "WTYUIPOI DRFGHJJKL" listed, no license displayed but it IS a real cab with radio and money box, and he did take me right to my door efficiently and politely. Whatever, he got a passenger, I got a wait-less ride that cost me a bit less than usual, a symbiotic relationship. But I won't be doing that again.
Tonight Judy picked came over to help me decide about which pieces I should put into the show in March- I know we don't have much space but she has seen it and I haven't so we picked out a few things and they can use whatever fits. I will get them to her Wednesday. We met the whole crit group except Carol at Panera, and Chungie Lee and her daughter joined us too before the lecture.

What amazing work she does- I really enjoyed her talk. Here is Chungie and a few pictures of a very long scroll held up across the whole stage. It's made of hemp with fiber reactive dyes and stitched in the traditional methods of pojagi but with her own silk screened images of Korean women from the past.

OK, I've been outed as a lurker (I really hate that name). Actually I'm just a follower. Thanks for coming up last night---great to see you. Also, I was thrilled once again to see Chunghie and to meet her daughter. Her stories about the nameless women were moving and I love that the pojagi are dedicated in thier honor.
OK, back to cleaning up from taking my tree finally down.
You might check out this site there seems to be an iguana gathering on Big Pine Key and yours might not have been abducted but is simply vacationing.
