Fascia Rot

Today we had a guy come to check our fascia boards- seems we have a plant growing out of one of them. Molly helped assess the damage. Work starts Monday.

After that, we had the appliance guy come to fix the dryer that just isn't drying any longer. He pulled it out from the wall about 3" and now it's working fine- $55, thank yew. Seems the vent got crimped when 'someone' pushed the dryer closer to the wall. My face it red.

And the other good news is I finally (almost) completed the top as the sample for the quilt shop for my class. I was a week late getting it hung at the shop because I was back in Boston, but that Kaffe cabbage fabric replaced the hideous yellow for the border and all of a sudden it 'happened'. Now all I have to worry about is that someone else sees the class and it looks interesting to them since there is still room. I won't call it the Ugly Quilt anymore- in fact will name it after an old friend of mine from high school- 'Cuglie', a triumph of cute overcoming ugly. I don't know why this caused me so much grief- probably being under the gun to get it finished to illustrate more Florida colors for the class, but I finally got it wrestled umder control. It is the sixth one I made and none of the others were anything but fun to make! So, oif you're in the vicinity, stop by Quilters Choice to see the samples and sign up so I can meet you. Afterall, if you're reading this you know all about me- now introduce yourself and let's have some fun! I am working on my seventh one now and it's coming together wonderfully- probably BECAUSE THERE'S NO PRESSURE! Geesh. I need a shrink.
