Outage Verification

Todays Bizarre site: Where do German babies come from? A great little children's book I found on the web.

Well, lets see... Yesterday was a total waste- I sat around actually doing nothing, reading the NYTimes for a change, and drinking vast quantities of coffee. I fused a few semi-circles to the Uglie Quilt but still have work to do on that, and then the highlight of the day: taking Molly to her first dog park. Poor thing didn't have a clue what to do, she couldn't believe she was off leash so just sat by my feet watching. Eventually a dog or two approached her and they sniffed but all left in disinterest in no time- we learned a lesson- to HAVE a friend one has to BE a friend... geesh, this was as hard as getting Mandy to go into preschool! Needless to say, Molly had a stellar time and was all perky and jazzed the whole way home- it was just that *I* had a hard time with the social anxiety. She did have fun with Maggie, a beautifully groomed Bearded Collie that looked like her cousin. Hope we see them there again.

Today I tried on Hector's old harness he had outgrown and we walked 3 miles around the lower campus here. It was amazing how she was right by my side with no pulling with this thing. I need to find someone who can fix the chest strap- even in the smallest setting it's too big.

Then this afternoon we had our appointment with our architect again, WE HAVE PLANS!!!! Yeaaaa!!! I was so anxious to see these, and he has really done something wonderful with our want-list. In fact I don't think we are changing anything at all. Now it has to go before the design review committee and we are afraid there may be a problem with where the garage is located but worst case scenario would be that we flip the plan. Oh boy, this is going to be so wonderful.

And today, when I returned the 'gift of grief' shoes to Saks, I dropped in to Pottery Barn to check out new dishes that would be worthy. Found the perfect set too- contemporary, simple, neutral and they come in 3 colors, cream, beige, and chocolate so I could get 4 of each and never need another dish as long as I live.

We went out to celebrate and talk about the plans to the new place, Rays. I 'over-celebrated' with two huge slabs of incredible veal milanese with tri-colored salade (arugula, radiccio, and endive on top of the perfectly cooked meat. Well, to be honest I never met a veal I didn't like, but this was spectacular.

That website is both disturbing and hilarious. Thanks for sharing. I think.
