Poverty Embodiment

Oh my, I am glad I am not driving the plane today because I stayed up way late crochetting tiny little balls about the size of small marbles. I felted two of them and they turned into chick pea size, perfect for me, but I have many more to go! I have a middle seat too, so it might be slower going since I can't move my elbows. And I am testing the scissors-now-allowed policy too- I have an old pair of clippers that I hope they let me keep but I won't be distraught if they confiscate them.

In the Old-and-Stoopid department: last night I had arranged to take TY's sister and BIL out for dinner so had a meet-up time of 7. I bustled about here to get there a little early so they wouldn't be left floundering and arrived at quarter of. I sat in the lobby reading an old copy of Boston magazine where they talked about ski slopes. No sense reading the real estate ads since it's from a time gone by.

Well by quarter after I was still sitting there waiting and they are never late- the food and beverage manager came out to the lobby and wanted to know if I wanted a glass of wine while I waited and decided to leave instructions on where to find me at the front desk and hit the bar. On the way to the bar I glanced at my watch again- sure enough it was almost half past by then- but it was half past SIX, not seven. I was an hour early because all the clocks in the house and in my car are still set on daylight savings time and I didn't want to reset them because by the time I get back here again they will be right again.

So, they finally arrived and we had a really great dinner (phew). The new chef manages to come through once in awhile.

And now I am headed to the bank so I can buy a coffee when I get to the airport. Next post from Jupiter. If all goes as planned.
