These are the details in the piece I am working on now, these and the turtles below...and a few other things like vintage fabric borders, some painted X's, and a few batches of seaweedy stuff. Details to follow as I finish one area at a time
A home dec leafy print, but I only had a very small piece left over. Love the high contrast.
Paper pattern darts against a Merimekko white printed linen.
A miniscule quiltlet that has to be 15 years old- I used it as a sample of my floor-quilt series when I was teaching.
Simply fabulous remaining chunk of a vintage gold printed rayon home dec starbursty thing from the 40's. I have used this in many pieces but this is the end.
And finally this is a lino block print I did on some marbelized paper several years ago. Somehow all these pieces just fell together because of the shared color scheme- must be something I have done before, eh? I should be able to get some border colors tried out tomorrow- the light is on at the end of this tunnel.Oh, another project for tomorrow- I have to register my dog with the town- she has been a fugitive for 1 1/2 years. Today I got her microchipped since she seems to have the need to commit doggie suicide by learning how to open motel doors and jumping out of convertibles when tied to the seat (and hanging by her neck until she wiggled out of her collar!) Instead of the microchip, I should have just bought her an insurance policy. Maybe the truth is she doesn't LIKE me...
