Day Early Links

It's (K)not Wood This is one of my favorite blogs and today they mentioned MEEEEEE because I sent them a link to some paper lettering that uses their faux bois theme. Oh, and then I ordered some plates (naturally in wood grain, what else?) that they talked about in the next entry. I am sucker for wood grain, real or faux.

Devorah Sperber Amazing new version of 'thread painting' I hadn't seen before. and this is the link to her full site full of other
thread works.

Unusual creatures- some people sure become experts in their chosen fields.

Ummm, here's an idea I should try on all these rainy days at home! Such style, such elegance- I wonder if there are any cute wedges...

dust to dust, ashes to ashes- what more can I say?

Gumball Hummer (sounds like a Frank Zappa song, doesn't it?)

An ratty article to make me feel good about my housekeeping, talk about hoarding!

And a final though without a link- I don't give a flying fig about Star Jones Reynolds. Can't someone please take her away?

Get on that rainy day project 'k? Cuz I really need some decent ones... I'm tired of birkies all the time.

And ditto on star.

And while I'm whining -- our local news ran out of scary things to say about all the rain-related flooding so they (all three local stations) did big stories about the local yacht club whose boats and docks floated away in the rising Hudson. Big crisis there. Summer is destroyed. Possible dry storage for the summer. Oh NO!

Geesh. Meanwhile people have water and mud-filled houses and no roads. But still - yachts.
