Neo Bohemian Pica

Self Portyrait of me wearing a glow-stick.

Then I found a more suitable age-appropriate place for the glow-

This morning I spent messing with the images of the old box of bakelite buttons off of fur coats. This was the top layer, I have many more. I want to use them on my website in the re-design if possible so I had to mail them off to my brand new web-wizard who is going to make me viable again out there. I haven't touched the site in 2 1/2 years and it is simply hideous. I never had a program or a template, just made up the code as I went along, and every time I added a little thing the site got progressively more out of control. So lately I have been taking down all the 'extras', the click-here links that lead to inaccessible nooks ands crannies, and hope to get just the basics figured out of what I want to include without putting up every single thing I have ever done. I told The Wizard I may limit it to 2000-present but found out today that gets hard when a series works across decades. I really must put some thought into this.

WHAT do I want to continue this site for? Am I promoting my work or just bragging about it? Am I selling or just trolling? Is it a necessary thing or just ego that makes me want to keep it up? Help me here, all you Rhondas! Help Help me...

Meanwhile, aren't the big black buttons cool?

Yes, the buttons are fabulous, having a touch of the Art Deco's about them.

What to do with your blog? keep it going, please - yours is always good for a different slant on the world. For those who can and do blog with regularity and some dedication to their readers, a blog is a vital part of the total online protfolio. The website is by nature more formal - the kind of place were some collector or curator can go to download a cv or statement, or other information. A blog on the other hand tells these people and other readers so much more about you as a person, in this case a highly creative person with a zany streak which would not effectively show through in a website. They can complement each other well, IMHO.
